This thing, as almost everyone else has said is a monster. In fact as I am writing this review I am listening to iTunes, encoding a video with Handbrake, running a Windows 10 VirtualBox, and watching a Youtube video. Even with all of that going I could probably do some more. Maybe another virtual machine or something. This thing is great! I could not be happier. I was originally leaning toward the i5 but in the end I splurged and could not be happier. You will not be disappointed!
worth the money if you get it on sale ~$320.
handles DDR3 2400 RAM with no problem.
disappointed that i don't see the huge improvement in games so many tout. my FX8350 @ 4.8GHz got very near the same scores\fps in 3DMark, Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, Dirt3, and others with built-in benchmarks. a slight improvement but not like all the intel fanboys like to cry on forums. i would stick with the FX990\8350 if doing it over.
along with my 8GB 290X every game is totally maxed out @ 1080p, mostly maxed @ 1440p. sits right @ 60fps on a 60Hz display.
