Can you give this a negative review (if it works, out if the box). Nope... Fast and I am happy.

This CPU is absolutely fantastic. I am using a ASUS Maximus Hero VI and all i had to do was click Optimal in the EZ mode. BOOM. OC to 4.8GHz. i am also using Corsair H100i Cooling system so temps stay cool. Very stable at 4.8. Could not be more happy with this purchase. GO AND GET IT!!

Nice...Have mine over clocked to 4.6MHz and it runs stable and cool.Have had for 7 months now and did do some overclocking...Highest speed I got was 4.9 MHz. It did run warm withe watercooling at that speed but was stable and had no crashes. I now keep it at 4.7MHz as it runs cool (45 celsius) and everything is silent, cool and not over taxing. My 4790k is plugged into a Asus Z97 Pro with Wifi/AC and I couldn't be happier with the match. I can have a high performance setting, or just a quick speed that is stable and very smooth.

For the price, it'd be nice if some thermal paste was included (I mean, the stuff is like $3, include it!). But the processor itself, is amazing. I have mine overclocked (the BIOS makes this SUPER easy) to 4.2 and it stays around 45-50 degrees Celsius even while gaming, with just the stock cooler.

So far this processor is running well in a large system which hosts more that 1000 HD movies, 200 TV series and over 20,000 songs. Running at stock speed nothing phases this Proc. I'm not a gamer so can't report on gaming performance. I can say that it's faster than my previous AMD FX Octa core processor that this replaced.
