Easily overclocked to @4.7Ghz. Handles like a champ for the price, no need to buy something better for this generation.

The best processor I could get at the time, It lives up to the hype. I guess I only needed the i5 but why not spend a little extra? It IS the CPU.The standard clock rate of 4GHz sold me.

It blasts through ANYTHING I've thrown at it with ease. There really isn't much else to say that everyone else hasn't already.

Very fast processor that will run anything. Will work great for most average users with the stock heat sink, however, be forewarned it will get very hot. With the stock heat sink on Prime 95 version 26 it would easily get up to 95-99 C and throttle back. While gaming it would hover around high 70s C. Disabling HyperThreading and Turboboost would clock it back to 4.0 GHz instead of 4.4 GHz which helps temps if you don't have an after market cooler. Around 85 C on Prime 95 and high 60s C during gaming with these disabled.
Installed a Noctua nh-u12s which drastically help keep better temps which I recommend doing. With this cooler installed I get around mid 70s C on Prime 95 and around mid 50s C during gaming with HT and Turboboost enabled.
While the stock cooler will work fine in most instances even for gaming, I would recommend to purchase an aftermarket one if you plan on pushing the CPU for extended periods or any overclocking what so ever.
