Wanted to take some time to get to know this mouse before writing my review. Some of the things I took note of was the battery, the software, and how it functions in daily life. Firstly everybody has different priorities when it comes to a computer mouse and some will value certain traits over others. I can just tell you where mine lay and hope that helps you make a good judgement for yourself. My number one preference in a wireless mouse is battery life. So far this thing has blown me away with how good it is I've used this thing a lot and I haven't really had to charge it from the time that I got it. All I did was top it off when I first opened the package up and it's been good to go ever since. I love the fact that it's rechargeable. There has been too many times with other mice that weren't rechargeable where the batteries would die. Which would mean a run to the store to buy batteries, because instead of a mouse I now had a paperweight. I don't like the waist of that batteries either and this solves that for me. The next thing I want to touch on is the software, it works well and has some nice features. I do appreciate that it works with a Mac with is what I'm using it on. The flow software that lets you switch from different computers and effectively work between them is nice, but for me is a thing that I might only use every once in a while. It was free though and a bonus for somebody who works switching between computers often. I mean it even lets you copy and paste files between computers which for some might be pretty handy. As far as every day use goes the mouse does its job and can function on a lot of different surfaces. So far I've tried it on a wood table, glossy desk surface (mainly), and various other surfaces around my house so far it has been working flawlessly so that's another thumbs up. The main gripe I have with this mouse is the scroll wheel it spins fast. What I compare it to is that top on inception. I can give this thing a good spin and it will go for a while, and although this might be good for a wheel on a skateboard this in my opinion is not great for a mouse. I just miss the click. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but to me the click to advance feels better. The speed that this mouse can scroll to doesn't make for a good experience for browsing any interface that I can think of. You just never need to go as fast up or down anything as this mouse can go. This makes using it feel weird like either you're scrolling too quickly or you're trying way too hard to scroll at the right speed (more effort that should be necessary). That's why although I really like this mouse, and it checks off a lot of boxes it's just shy of 5 stars. I will say this 4 ain't bad and I think if you're looking for a good mouse that I feel like is priced fairly, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Logitech puts out great peripherals and this is no different it's just not perfect.

I was kind of annoyed when my husband purchased such an expensive mouse. I had been using an old corded mouse and it was time to upgrade. When I tried this mouse, it was night and day. This mouse is well built and feels really solid in my hand. The mouse lasts all 8 ours of my day and paired easily with my PC. There was one additional benefit that I was pleasantly surprised by was the sound and smooth quality. When I move the mouse, there is almost no sound as I move it around on my desk and the movement feels smooth in my hand. Button sounds are a soft click.UPDATE: after using a few weeks My husband noticed an annoying stick when left clicking. At this price point, I expect better. The mouse still works fine in other aspects. The best and most surprising feature is the very long battery life. Using it 9 hours per day, M-F it lasted weeks before needing a charge.I decided not to buy one of these for myself. It’s simply not worth the price.

I LOVED my VX Nano...even tried to buy used ones when mine finally went to mouse Heaven. Nothing could top VX Nano...not even the MX Anywhere 2S. But it comes close. Oh, so close.Form factor is the same. It's very small in the hands, easy on the wrist. The switchable hyper-scroll wheel is still there, and the app switch button is still programmable to hot keys (as was my favorite features on the VX Nano: assignable hot keys to each button, PER application). My gripes, and this is what gets it a lesser rating than the king of the hill VX Nano, is that the forward/back buttons are now closer to the hand, on the thumb. VX kept them up at the top, to be activated by the index finger. I find this annoying, but it is subjective. The second issue is the rechargable built-in battery. The VX Nano used 2x AAA batteries, which I just used Eneloops or Amazon Basic rechargables. I keep a pack on the side and swap them out every few months, as needed, and I did that for years. With the internal battery, as this thing weakens and dies, it doesn't give me the option to swap and extend its life. The battery will no doubt die before the mouse does, unfortunately. And third was the connectivity. While it came with the dongle (which I ended up using, no different than the VX Nano) the mouse proudly says it has Bluetooth. Well, the Bluetooth refused to work with my 2018 Macbook Pro running 10.13.6. A quick search found that many running Macs have the issue with Bluetooth and the MX Anywhere 2S. So while I'm running it no different than my 10-year-old mouse via USB dongle, it's annoying that I can't use the updated Bluetooth feature with this next-generation mouse. So for those with separation anxiety from their own beloved VX Nano's, behold: this is your replacement...but it's not perfect.

First thing I would like to clearly state: having used this mouse daily for about 2 years, I find this mouse far far better than apple magic mouse 2 ergonomically. It has excellent battery life too. One full charge lasts several months. However, there are few annoyances.1. I have been using this to play games and the middle button doesn't registered as middle click required for some games.2. Also, the battery life can only be found in the logitech options app. The information provided there is not precise as the indicator only has 3 bars. The bluetooth menu doesn't show battery percent as other devices like logitech k811 keyboard do.3. Some apps on macos like adobe reader has unusually fast scrolling speed. Its really annoying.

This mouse is really great if you have multiple computers to connect via logitech flow, but sadly it doesn't work for linux computer. (The mouse works but there's no software implementation for it for linux computers)After 6 months of use (I brought this mouse in May) the material is coming off as seen from the picture of the mouse itself, after long duration usage of the side buttons. : (The mouse is very durable nevertheless, I dropped it once and had the scroll wheel coming off the inner housing, lucky there is a quick guide within the box on how to open the mouse and I just had to nudge is back into place and it works as normal.Still sad that the material is coming off already so soon. I probably gonna either cut it out or glue it back in.

I used to have the MX (1st gen), and now using the T400.The MX 2S is a lot lighter than those 2 models, since it is a built-in battery. The touch & feel is a good as those 2 models, but the detail of the product is better. The click sound is loud. it should be better to be a bit more silent

I edit on my Macbook Pro outside of the office quite often and I was using the Microsoft Arc Touch as my primary travel mouse. That was probably the most travel friendly mouse I've ever owned yet not necessarily the most effective mouse especially for the price it was sold at. So now that I switched over to the MX Anwhere 2S, I'm quite satisfied with the improved workflow. I use around 4-5 mice through out a day as a tech youtuber. At my work office I've been using an MX which is an ideal size for a workhorse. I have a prodigy on one of my Window's PC's and I love that mouse for casual web browsing and minor gaming and I honestly think it's the perfect size for my hand. I have average sized hands for a 5 ft 7 male. This MX Anwhere is slightly smaller than the Prodigy in size but it is actually pretty hefty and solidly built. The precision and connectivity is top notch for a travel mouse. It's been basically a portable somewhat slightly more cramped experience of my MX on my office editing table. The ability to switch over between separate Bluetooth devices is also quite convenient. I do wish there was a way to store the bluetooth receiver somewhere on the mouse either magnetically or inside the body. It helps prevent losing it during transportation. It is pricey, but if you are on the road often and need a reliable mouse for work purposes, this is worth the purchase.

This has been a great replacement to my very old but reliable MX Anywhere mouse. I still have the old MX Anywhere as a backup and it works great, but I wanted the new one for the rechargeable feature which is outstanding. My new MX Anywhere 2S mouse lasts at least two months on a single charge and I no longer have to buy batteries in bulk. YEAH! The build quality and design of the mouse is really nice and the new Logi software has lots of customization options, but I just wish it had a battery level indicator. Hopefully that will be available in a later software update.Overall, I really love my new mouse but I had to ding it one star for the loudness when clicking. It's about twice as loud as the original MX Anywhere mouse and very annoying at first, but it only took me a couple of weeks to get used to.

This mouse works well. Bluetooth pairing the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S mouse with computers running OSX 10.12.x or Windows 10 was quick and easy. The Logitech Flow functions work well, allowing me to seamlessly pass the mouse control between computers running OSX and Windows. This is a medium sized mouse that will not fill an adult palm. It's great for travel. I'm happy with this purchase.

    Logitech Flow-
    1. Requires both computers have the Logitech options (Flow) application installed
    2. Requires both computers are connected to the same network
*I do have security concerns regarding Logitech Flow. While the ability to copy/paste files from one computer to the other worked well during testing, I imagine the Flow application could be compromised by attackers operating on the same network.
