I've been using the original MX Anywhere mouse for many years and that mouse was starting to have a lot of problems. I decided to buy the newest version of this mouse and so far it's been good. It's about the same size as the old mouse and it doesn't feel that much different either. I like the fact that this mouse doesn't use AA batteries anymore because that was one of the most annoying things about the old mouse. My only real complaint about this mouse is that the clicks are significantly louder than the old one. For that reason, it loses 1 star. It would've also been nice if there was somewhere you could store the little dongle inside the mouse like the old one but it's not that big of a deal.

Love the form factor, make sure you download Logitech Options software to take full advantage of its capabilities. I've had this model's predecessor for over 10 years and finally replaced it with this one. Bluetooth connectivity is great - no more dongles. I really wish it would have come with a carrying case like the old ones did. Also the dongle for RF connectivity is great, I wish they would have designed the mouse so the dongle could be hidden inside like the old one, though.

Just the right size and does what a mouse is supposed to do. A charge lasts a long time too.

Works over USB, bluetooth for multiple devices. Would be perfect if there was a place to put the USB adapter in the mouse for portability.

This is the best mouse I have found for my use. The only problem is the contacts wear out fast. I have to get a new mouse about every two years.

It's simple, no batteries to worry about leaking, can be used while charging, and works on my couch arm perfectly!

Works great but the button clicks are a bit loud. Having the button below the wheel act as the center button also took some time getting used to.

I've been a fan of Logitech mice and keyboards for a long time, and went through a couple of the older MX Anywhere model over the years before buying this MX 2S. I have always liked the MX line because I prefer a small, agile mouse, and find the forward / back side buttons to be so useful that any mouse without them just seems silly.
This MX 2S feels like it glides smoother and tracks more precisely than than original MX. The rechargeable batter is also a nice change from the older model using regular batteries, though using it with the cord attached to charge is a little too reminiscent of the old days before wireless mice. I'm not interested in any of the document transfer software, so I can't speak to that.
Overall, I think this is a great mouse EXCEPT for one annoying flaw. The left and right button clicks are EXTREMELY LOUD. Side by side, the older MX makes a nice and fairly subtle click, while the MX 2S produces a comparatively loud, hollow, almost snapping sound.
I had never considered my noise threshold for tolerable computer peripheral sounds, mouse clicks, keyboard strokes, etc., but the MX 2S definitely crosses a line for me where it's too loud to ignore as it announces to the room your every mouse decision. Editing something that requires a lot of clicking and double clicking? Apologize in advance to anyone nearby because it gets annoying fast.
If everything else about the mouse wasn't so perfect, I'd have rated it lower and probably returned it. It really is a great mouse, and I'm hoping it will either get a bit quieter as I break in the buttons more, or I just get used to the sound. Or I guess there's always loud music to drown it out.

Got the mouse today. Seems not good for me since the Bluetooth support is not functioning. I tried to connect to my surface pro 4 in Windows 10. Only the unifying receiver works but the reason I bought it is the Bluetooth connectivity. Waiting for the response from support. Support page doesn’t help much.
Update:
Figure out how to connect the bluetooth. The mouse would not automatically connect via bluetooth. You have to click the Add Bluetooth and other device and find the right mouse. Going to check it in Overwatch.

Great mouse. I used the prior model for many years for the darkfield feature on my glass desk. On this model I love the 3-host pairing feature that works with both the unifying receiver and bluetooth. I also like that it's rechargeable. The only downside is that I really miss the previous model's sliding door on the bottom to easily turn the mouse off with my thumb of the same hand I'm picking it up with. That was a great convenience every day when packing up my laptop. I have to use 2 hands to turn this one off. Annoying after getting spoiled by the older model, but it's a relatively minor thing. All the other features are excellent and well worth it.

Yes, it's quite expensive, but it works well and the rechargeable battery has to be a plus. I've been using it for about a month now. I had one occasion when it stopped communicating with my laptop (via Bluetooth), but I'm not sure whether that was the fault of the computer or the mouse. The problem was easy to resolve by deleting the mouse (in Windows 10 Settings), then re-adding it. Recommended.
