  I preordered this product directly from Logitech because I was so excited to finally have an easy-to-clean keyboard. It does not disappoint. Not only can you completely dowse this keyboard in soapy water to get it clean, its design actually prevents a lot of the mess that conventional keyboards seem to attract. There is a small brush conveniently fastened on the underside of the board for quick clean moments. This is especially helpful in my household where cat hair invades every surface. The raised keys are pleasant to type on, even simulating the clicky noise that old spring-based keyboards have. (Yes, I find the clacky-clack noise soothing.) Also, the laser/coated keys have withstood excessive use. This is proven by the continued presence of my WASD keys. The ONLY downside I can find to this keyboard is a lack of ergonomics. I still rated 5 stars since ergonomics aren't important to me, but if you want/need a fancy shape to your keyboard you will have to keep looking.

  I have a 5 year old, and he has ruined a keyboard a time or two. This is a godsend in that department. It is a sturdy plug and play keyboard. It connects to your USB. It has traditional windows buttons for the start menu and functions, but also works with OS X computers. The windows button taking the place of the command button in this case, so if you have a mac, it will work with that computer too. It is pretty comfortable, a little more akin to a chicklet style laptop keyboard than a traditional desktop keyboard. It is comfortable to type on and has good responsiveness. It is immersible in water, so clean up is a cinch, and also since it is washable, it can be good for using in locations that it might get wet or have something spilled on it.

  I often eat at my desk, which is not the greatest thing. Croissant flakes, bits of cheese and even rice grains often find their way into the crevices of my standard keyboard at work. It gets really disgusting. A few times crumbs got stuck inside the keys and stopped them from working properly. I've used compressed air cans and mini vaccuums but they don't do that great a job. I often end up having to flip the thing over and give it a shake. In addition, I remove all the keys and use a Q-tip to wipe up dust and dirt that get encrusted in these tiny spaces, which is time-consuming. So you can tell I was relieved to get this washable keyboard. This thing is made for the Oscar Madisons of the world (like me). While you can't use it underwater while scuba diving (the instructions say you shouldn't submerge it in more than 11 of water, and no more than 5 minutes at that), being able to do a wash and rinse (as if it were a dinner plate) is more than enough to get most dirt and crumbs out. I also like the fact that there is no additional software to install - just plug into the standard USB port, wait a few minutes until your computer recognizes the hardware, and then you're off. The keyboard is about the same size as other computer keyboards, except that the keys feel more like ones you'd find on a laptop. They are round and smooth and make me feel I'm pushing buttons. Because they lay flatter on the surface of the keyboard, you get a softer sound when you type as opposed to the hardier tapping of regular keyboards. It took me awhile to get used to the feel. The buttons lack the slightly concave ridges that keep your fingers nestled so my fingers felt slippery on them, but not enough to have a problem. Despite these reservations, however, I think this is a well-made product that is very practical, especially for people like me, who'd rather write than clean. Now all I need is a washable mouse!

  Having young children around the house can do a number on a keyboard. Once I spent hours cleaning the sugary mess from my keyboard after somebody spilled soda on it. Other times I find nuts and cracker pieces jamming the keys. Finally I have a low-maintenance keyboard that I am not afraid to let the grand kids use. Great idea at an affordable price.

  I spend about 10 hours a day at least in front of my computer, and more hours working on my laptop in the evenings -- and I write for a living. I type so much that I have long since worn off the image of the letters on my former keyboard, so I was delighted to get a chance to review this one -- especially since it's washable! One disadvantage of being shackled to my computer is that I end up eating at my desk, and I can't count the number of times that I've knocked over a drink or a bowl of soup on top of my keyboard, or had a cat helpfully do so on my behalf. I've had to replace one keyboard for that reason, and have had to painstakingly clean others, cursing the time I was wasting. I gave this a test run by deliberately spilling (a) a soda; (b) some orange juice and (c) some vegetable soup on it and then dunking it in some warm soapy water. It cleaned up like a dream; minimal scrubbing required. (I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser) Why not five stars? Some minor quibbles, but for me at least, not insignificant ones. The keys are a little higher off the board than I am used to; they are, on the margin, slightly stiffer. (I notice that my wrists felt a bit more strained after a day of work when I started using this keyboard.) The USB cord connecting it to my desktop was too short to stretch around to the back of the unit, where most of the USB ports are located, so I had to replace it with something longer. And on the keyboard tray of my desk, it takes up more space than other keyboards I have purchased, leaving not quite enough room for (essential) gel wrist rest. Most of these are very personal considerations, of course, and may well not be issues for other users, but that left me rating this 4.5 stars and rounding down rather than up. I'll definitely hang on to this, and will keep a keen eye open to see how Logitech refines the product in the next generation; I'll also be curious to see how durable the laser-printed keys prove to be. I have, over the years, managed to destroy so many keyboards through heavy typing that this is a big issue for me.

  I love this keyboard. Here are the features I like best: * great pressure and depression for touch typing--just enough spring so can go fast. Not too deep but less shallow than laptop. Seems just right for fluent typing. * legs underneath the board which slant board if you wish--keeps it from lying flat for easier typing * washable feature obviously--for those of us who do most of our fine dining over our keyboard, it's great to be able to immerse the board in 10 inches of soapy water to wash off the powdered sugar and jelly from breakfast donut, ketchup-mustard-pickle juice mix from Quarter Pounder lunch, orange cheesedoodle powder from snack, taco dribblings from T. Bell dinner, spilled red wine from all night Pinterest session, melted Dove Bar droppings from same, cigarette ash, cat hair and the like. Okay, not all of those, but fun to imagine. There's even a little bath brush for the keys stowed underneath the keyboard for donut sprinkles which cling stubbornly, and with malice, between the keys. * white keys with black print--easy to see as the evening gloaming settles in and you forget to/don't feel like turning on the light. * silent nature of keys when depressed--my other board clackety-clacked more. My 27-year-old son, who is a game designer, liked this keyboard so much he asked if I'd like to just give it to him. Uh, no, but it will go on his Christmas list. He said his roommate who is a tad OCD, and a programmer, would probably love this keyboard. Great gift for folks for whom cleanliness is a priority. (Wish it were more of one for me, so this washable keyboard helps.) I recommended this keyboard to a friend on one of Amazon's mystery threads and she already ordered one. Only suggestion for company: they may wish to make an immersible keyboard with darker-thicker-larger printing on keys (probably have to be slightly bigger, too) for folks who don't wear glasses and should, or for the niche market with less than perfect sight. This washable-immersible keyboard should be a strong seller for the company. I'm delighted with it; it exceeded expectations.

  When offered the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 through the Amazon Vine reviewing program, I was intrigued by its wash-ability. You can actually submerge it, and the directions recommend using the included brush (snaps on the bottom of the keyboard) and dishwashing liquid to clean it. What I liked: - Very, very thin keyboard; it looks good. - It's washable! Spilling coffee on the keyboard is no longer an issue. - 2 pop down feet to give the keyboard a minor tilt. - Brush is securely stored on base. - Has hotkeys for email and Internet - Good base retail price. What I didn't like: - Clunky, stiff keyboard response. Feels very much like some of the first keyboards that came out, instead of a step-up. I give it 4 out of 5 stars (an 'I like it' rating.) Not a perfect 5-star because of the stiff, noisy, sometimes unresponsive keyboard action. IF that was smoother, I'd probably give it a 5, but that is a huge issue for me as a keyboard is the main input device and shouldn't be hard to use. This keyboard would be for someone who has a tendency to spill things on their keyboard, and/or someone who uses a PC in an area like a shop where you have dirty or wet hands. I think it would be ideal for an automotive place where they change your oil and input your info before they go to work. This keyboard is not for someone who spends the day at their desk; like a freelance writer, and needs a comfortable keyboard with responsive keystrokes.

  Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 for Windows PCs - Black This is really a well-made product. The Logictech keyboard itself is strong and sturdy. The keys themselves are hard and firm and the labeling of the keys is large and clear. It comes with a great lengthy cord too that is protected with a water tight cap if you do decide to submerse it. Yes, this keyboard is water proof! It is designed to be cleaned the way you wish you could. No more small particles of food or hair to wonder if they will ever brush out or fall out. Submerse it, wash it and dry it and you're done! It's wide enough, strong enough and durable. Something that if you are accident prone or you have children, this is the keyboard you really need! INSTALATION: Very easy. No software. Plug and Play. MANUALS/GUIDES: Clear, concise and really not needed. USER INTERFACE: Standard automatic installation for Windows.   I'm fairly particular about my keyboards - I use a mechanical keybaord at home, for instance. So I wasn't expecting too much from the K310 beyond it being washable, but was pleasantly surprised. They keyboard itself is fairly sturdy - the keys are rated at 5 million keystrokes and the actual keyboard seems well built. They keyboard is also fairly attractive. The white keys on a black plate look nice from a distance. Up close you can see some plastic remannts on the keys from when they were molded, but its barely noticiable. The keys are laser etched, and from a distance it looks OK - up close it doesn't look too great, but its forgivable. Typing on the keyboard is average, in my opinion. For a non-mechanical keyboard the key presses are fairly firm and touch typing is very easy. However my hands get tired for some reason after prolonged typing on the keyboard. I rarely have this happen, and I would assume that it means that the force required to push each key is a bit 'off'. However the keypresses dont' feel particularily difficult, so I'm no sure what it is. I subtracted a star for this. Finally - is the keyboard actually washable? While there are some restrictions on washing the keyboard (temperature, submersion, etc) I found that yes, the keyboard is washable and usable afterwards if you follow Logitech's instructions. After a day of use I spent 3 minutes washing the keyboard in a sink and then let it dry overnight. The next day it worked perfectly. Two nice touches I want to mention: 1) There is a built-in cap for the USB drive, which is nice for washing purposes. 2) The keyboad comes with a cleaning brush. ---- Overall, I'd recommend the K310 if you often get your keyboard dirty, or if you just need a solid keyboard. You're paying a bit of a premmium for the ability to wash the keyboard, but if you eat at your desk or often get your keyboard dirty (use it after going outdoors or exercising, or whatever) then its definitely a good buy. The typing experience is better than your normal cheap keyboard (despite my fatigue problem) so you do also get a nicer keyboard for your money.

  We were pleasantly surprised when the Logitech Washable Keyboard came about... our previous keyboard at our 'family' computer was filling up with crumbs and who-knows-what between the keys and just getting grimy and sticky in general. Along comes this guy - a truly WASHABLE keyboard! There was no hesitation on my part in ordering this up immediately... that and my long string of good luck with the Logitech brand gave me confidence in the product. The keyboard is what I would call high visibility in that it is a black background with white keys. No the letters or keys aren't any larger than normal but the keys are strangely easier to see. There is also a little more distance between the keys compared to your typical DELL or other mass-produced keyboard. Other nice features include full USB Plug-n-Play support, long cord, quiet/non-clacky keys and even comes with a USB cap (for washing) and a little brush for keeping the keys tidy! Neat!! The enclosed packing materials goes into the Do'd and Do Not's of washing the keyboard - pretty straight forward. No - we have not [yet] washed ours. I will amend this review once I/we do so. All in all this is a great keyboard for a machine that might encounter spills or other calamities.

  Our family tends to eat at the computer and then we find little yucky crumbs in the keyboard. So I was thrilled to find a keyboard that is WASHABLE! The keyboard has a slim modern design that sits flatter then the previous keyboard we owned. When typing, the keys have a good sturdy feel to them. The keys are off white on a black background while the underneath part is bright blue. A brush for swiping crumbs is located underneath, so you can clean it before it needs a wash. It has 12 shortcut function keys that I never used much before, but will now. One touch controls volume, brings up email, calculator, etc. I'm very impressed with the design, look and feel of this keyboard. Even my ex-husband hadn't heard of this product and computers are his profession. This is a great product! UPDATE: It didn't take long before it was time to wash off my keyboard. All I needed to do was make sure the cap was on the USB cord. Then I ran it under water only, dried it and let it air dry for a bit. I found that shaking the board to get excess water out-helped. Perfect! It's clean and shiny just like the first day I got it.

  I have always been disgusted by people who allow their computer keyboards to become encrusted with grime and filled with grody bits of debris. It amazes me that respected professionals allow this filthy condition. Yet, it is very difficult to clean the keys of a keyboard. Using too much liquid to clean the keys can result in a fried keyboard suitable for the trash. I have proven this to be true. Logitech has provided the perfect solution in the washable, immersible keyboard. Any different equipment requires time to become familiar. In my case, the Logitech keyboard is slimmer and lower than my factory-supplied Dell keyboard. Also, the washable keyboard is a bit quieter and requires less force on the keys. For me, this is a difficult adjustment. My favorite type of keyboard is that of the antique manual typewriter. I like to really pound on the keys. The wash and wear feature of the Logitech keyboard is so desirable that I'm willing to adapt to its design. I touch type and after only a few days I'm achieving a nice comfort level with this keyboard. The bright, white keys look nice on the black casing. Also, the F-key shortcuts should be quick handy after I learn to use them. The little cleaning brush that fits into the bottom of the keyboard is a nifty feature. So, I spilled some Coke Zero on the keyboard, unplugged it, and stuck it under the bathroom faucet. After allowing it to dry overnight, I hooked it up. Good as new! It really is a wash and wear keyboard. The price is right for clean computing; $39.95 is a good deal.

  I received this as a gift off of a pre-order. I've been using the keyboard for about 2 weeks and overall I like the keyboard: Pros: * Nicely built * Keys have a nice feel to them * I initially didn't expect to like the white keys but like them more than I thought * Key presses are nice and solid * Much easier to keep keyboard clean, the height of the keys make it easy to shake the inevitable crumbs out. I haven't tried washing it yet but it seems straight forward. Cons: * The biggest annoyance I have with this keyboard is that I tend to you the volume shortcuts (Fn key + f9, f10, f11) to raise, lower, mute my computer. The problem is the Fn + f11 = volume up and Fn + f12 is to put the computer to sleep. Not sure why an off switch key is located right next to the volume up. At least twice I've put my computer in sleep mode and then had to wake it up. Kind of annoying. * I do wish the volume, track forward, etc buttons were separate keys * Keyboard could stand to be a bit quieter That's about it. I've had a number of logitech keyboards over the years and all of them seem to fare pretty well. I expect this one to be the same.

  No, I haven't gotten it wet yet. This keyboard was just released in Sept 2012. I pre-ordered it from Logitech and it arrived last week. Today was my first full day using it, and so far so good! It's definitely a different feeling than a traditional PC keyboard - closer to the keypad feeling of a laptop or Mac style keyboard, but with thicker and heavier keys, which I think is nice. I also am liking the higher contrast of white keys on a black plate. The keys are full-sized, as far as I can tell, and their surfaces are just slightly rounded, which is helpful for touch-typists, though the relative thinness (compared to a traditional) makes it slightly more difficult to fully touch-type. Since I paid full price, I'm not motivated to wet this keyboard just for the sake of reviewing it. However, my main motivation in getting it was to be ale to more easily clean it - my keyboards tend to collect crumbs and debris over time, and I've always found it a pain to try to shake the dust/crumbs/whatever out of the traditional keyboard. This keyboard's design will clearly make that a non-issue, as the area under the keys is all flat. One quick shake and anything that's slipped underneath keys will slide right out! TWO WK UPDATE: I've gotten more used the soft-touch of this keyboard; the one area which annoys me is that it's extremely easy to slip when pressing the left Shift key or the letter A and hit the caps lock instead, because of the minimal tactile separation between the keys. This will be a non-issue if you don't touch-type at all, or if you're really good at staying on the home keys (the F and J do have the usual little ridges).
