A must have for a good gaming experience especially if you have the Corsair K series keyboard and mouse already.

A great mouse pad albeit with some cons.

    First the Pros:
The mouse pad is large and the surface is fantastic. It's a hard surface but very smooth.
The RGB lighting looks great and the effect and colors are easily changed through the CUE software.
The bottom of the pad has a nice rubber layer to keep the pad in place.
The pad has a mouse passthrough. You plug the pad into your PC/laptop and then the mouse into the pad itself.

    The Cons:
The power cable plastic piece at the top of the mouse pad can get in the way. If your mouse power cable is straight, it will trip over the plastic piece as you move your mouse. I recommend bending your mouse power cable to the side where it won't interfere. One doing that, I've had no problems.
If you lock your computer, the mouse pad does not remember your settings and goes into a rainbow effect. This is by far my biggest annoyance. The pad doesn't have built in memory so in order for it to remember your color settings, you have to be actively in Windows with the CUE software running. Locking your computer suspends CUE so you are stuck with a rainbow effect. It's bright and extremely distracting so if you sleep in the same room with your PC, it's a deal breaker. I'm hoping a firmware update can be downloaded to turn the light off if your computer is locked.

I have been waiting for Amazon to carry this mouse pad for a very long time. I finally got one. It is a lot brighter than the Razer (I have both and bought both on Amazon) and there is a lot more customization. The only thing I have a problem with this pad is the software you have to install, downloaded form Corsair's website, is huge in comparison to Razer's and Steel Series when the computer is first started (Corsair is about 35MB, the Razer is 15 and the SS is 24). When you open it, it uses about 77MB of memory, Razer Synapse still uses about 15 and Steel Series 3 uses four processes totaling about 142MB. The Razer software is the only one though that doesn't seem to increase when the computer is started and then opened. But all in all, I like the mouse pad. I was kind of hoping to be able to use it as sort of a desk blotter without being attached to a computer, just a 5v power source but that didn't seem to work.

Looks awesome and the new CUE software, while lacking in some areas is a lot easier to use than the last one I had. I wasn't sure I would like the hard surface mousepad when I bought it but now that I am using it, I don't think I will ever go back. It is so much easier to move the mouse and a lot easier to keep clean.

I bought the MM800 after using a cloth mouse pad for ~10 years (it was getting a little discolored). First time with a hard surface mouse pad. Overall I like how my mouse glides more easily. The pad is about twice the size of my original mouse pad so it seems like there's more space for me to use that I have need for.

The biggest gripe that I am having with it is the actual texture of the pad. It's a granular texture that cuts my mouse's feet. I've never had to replace mouse feet before (I actually had to do a google search to figure out what they're called)...but I see that as a possibility within a year of use with this pad. -1 star for that. But overall I like it.

Oh and that RGB thouuuugh. It's like what an old man once said you don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley...[unless if it has RGB lighting then go for it baby!]

Review of: Corsair Gaming MM800 POLARIS RGB LED Lighting Hard Mouse Pad, by Corsair Gaming.

This is a great gaming mouse pad with many super features. The manufacturer specifications list: 15 zone RGB LED customizable lighting.
True PWM lighting technology displays the most accurate color reproduction. Built-in USB pass-through port for your mouse. Low friction micro-textured surface ensures Fast, pixel-precise tracking. Non-slip rubber base, 1.8M braided cable and durable construction.

The mouse pad has a rigid frame but the size is excellent and the lighting and pass through port for your mouse ensure top notch responses during gaming. This is an excellent addition to your computer and is necessary for gaming. This mouse pad will enhance your performance. Well done. Five stars!

Please note this review is for the MM800 POLARIS RGB LED Lighting Hard Mouse Pad only.

I finally got this today after it being on a bit of a delay and let me say wow, this thing is nice! Really nice rubber backing that stays where you put it, perfect size and the led's really look nice, not gaudy as I was worried about (but I guess that is a personal taste thing). The main point here is the mousing surface is smooth as silk on my Logitech G602 wireless, which I was worried about coming from a cloth gaming surface for many years I can say I instantly adapted to this surface. However, when I tried the G502 wired mouse I also have on my desk (just because) I noticed it was draggy and rough moving over this surface, like sandpaper. Something to do with the base of the 502 vs the 602. So if you are using a Logitech G502 you MAY hate this surface with it. However I notice no roughness at all with my G602 wireless mouse, smooth as silk literally. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

Note: My review is for the Corsair MM800 Polaris RGB LED Mouse Pad. Amazon is lumping together reviews of several Corsair mouse pads at the time this review was written.

I've purchased a metric ton of Corsair products for my PC builds over the years, and with few exceptions, I've found Corsair products to be well made and long-lasting. So it should be no surprise that I jumped all over the opportunity to test out the MM800 and it's LED goodness. Well, after setting up the MM800 Polaris Mouse Pad and spending some quality time with the peripheral I'm in nerd love!

If you're the type of person who loves LEDs and have them adorned all over (like me) the MM800 Polaris is a terrific way to add another splash of color to your rig. I've got my Polaris Mouse Pad set up on my gaming PC and it replaced a traditional rubber-backed cloth gaming mouse pad.

    ►Specs:
The MM800 is considerably smaller than my old mouse pad, coming in at 13.8 x 10.2 x .2 (L x W x H). But honestly, I'm fine with the downsize and haven't run into an issue with the lack of real estate while gaming. This pad offers 15 lighting zones which basically means you can customize 15 distinct zones on the mouse pad using Corsair's software (not included, but available via download portal).

    ►Corsair Utility Engine:
Corsair's Utility Engine is the software you'll need to download to get the most out of the MM800. Simply head over to Corsair's website, download and install and you'll be ready to customize this mouse pad using the intuitive interface. There's really not much burn-in time thanks to the way Corsair laid out the interface. My favorite feature by far is the ability to create, export, and import custom lighting profiles for the MM800. There's a ton of profiles already made from the user community.

    ►The Good Stuff:
(+) LEDs! Yep, more LEDs. If you love them, you'll love the MM800 and myriad of colorful options.

(+) USB pass-through. The MM800 features a USB port right on the back of the mouse pad. Perfect for plugging in a mouse or whatever.

(+) Corsair Utility Engine. Excellent software that features a ton of customizations and options yet still very easy to use.

    ►What Could be Better:
(-) On/Off Switch. This feature is built into the software so it's a minor complaint. Still, it'd be nice to have a physical button for faster on/off operation.

(-) Surface. The surface of this pad is hard plastic and not perfectly smooth. The surface has a rough texture and it's wearing out the glide pads on my G403 mouse.

This mouse pad is HUGE. I have to use this on my desk because my pull out is too small to use this on it. Being this large is good if you play games that are on larger display set ups as you don't have to lift your mouse off the pad. It is a hard surface, and registers the mouse with precision. The RGB lighting is cool and looks even neater when playing in the dark. The usb pass through is a nice touch, and allows you to connect the mouse to it and not have to swing a wire all over the place. The pad stayed in place and didn't slide around on my wooden desk. This mouse pad makes your set up look pro! If you are a serious gamer, you won't have any complaints.

I upgraded my previous gaming mouse pad, which had gotten pretty worn down, to the Corsair Polaris. It is larger than a standard mouse pad, but not too large that you need to put it on your desk. I have a keyboard pull out shelf, and it is small enough that it fits on it with my keyboard laying on top of part of it. The surface has a very slight texture to it that works well for a gaming mouse, especially if you will be using it for an FPS. It does have an LED light that goes around the entire mouse pad and connects by USB. The light from it looks pretty cool, but I found it annoying after about ten minutes, so I disconnected the USB. Since the USB is a passthrough, it would be nice if it had a small switch on it or something so you can easily turn off the LED. Otherwise, it is a great gaming mouse pad.

The Corsair Gamming RGB Polaris is a great mouse pad if you have the money to waste like i did makes any RGB Setup Look Great

    Pros:
    - Looks gorgeous as hell, especially with matching Profiles with the Corsair K70 Keyboard and M65 RGB Mouse
    - Comes with a USB input works with mouses and flashdrives
    - rubber bottom to keep it from slipping
    Cons:
    - Position of the USB input and cord are a bit of a nuisance when swing my mouse left and right but lifting the mouse cord to specific height fixes that.
    - the Fabric used on the mouse pad is rough and scratches the hell out of my M65's Glide Pads in only just 3 days
    - was a bit disapointed that the top part of the mouse pad doesn't have RGB lights as well

Very good pad but it is huge. I don't see any reason why it is so big (about 4 times the size of a regular mouse pad. The lighting effect is great though and I will be keeping it.
