Why not? That's all I have to say about this chip.I love it, Recieved it in a timely manner, and It works flawlessly.I Currently have an overclock of 4.85Ghz on this processor with a water cooling loop.

Overclocked this to 5.0ghz and on my 24/7 setup @ 4.9. Solid performance. 1.31v with proper water cooling. (aio enermax liqtech 240)Works like a charm over a year now.

It had been quite a while since I built a new desktop rig, and all I can say is.. holy crap, this thing is amazing. I have been an AMD guy all my life, but I loved the performance of my 3rd gen i7 laptop so much, I decided to move to intel for my desktop. This thing clocked in at just over 12,000 on the benchmark after I built it! It runs unbelievably fast and surprisingly cool using the stock air cooler. While writing this review, the temp is sitting at 38C... in other words, under a light load, it runs basically the same temperature as my body! Now, it does quickly get hot under avery heavy load (80-100 while using Handbrake for x.264 encoding), but all in all, not bad. I will likely get an aftermarket cooler in the future, but I found that if I limit CPU speed in windows to 95%, it seems to do a great job of keeping the temp

Great CPU. It had pci 16x only, so know it if you're planing to have two graphics card configuration. It will be fine, but any WiFi/sound card will need to use USB.I use it with Noctua DH-15 cooler. I turned off intel turbo boost and clocked it to run on 4.4GHz all the time. At idle it sits on 33-35C with ALL case/cooler fans OFF. When in game/benchmark it doesn't go higher that 50C with cooler fans on 45%.Overall it's great cpu, which doesn't heat up too much.

A decent chip, easy 4.6 ghz to OC with liquid cooling. No issues so far. If lookING for a OC chip, keep in mind Haswell runs hot and is less able to OC.

The way to go with this generation of Intel i7 CPU's - if you've got the $$$ and can use the power and understand the bios of an overclocking motherboard from Asus or MSI or Foxconn or Gigabyte or even Intel... For about a third less money you can get the i5 version which in many cases like gaming is just about as speedy.
