    I built a new performance desktop and used this processor. It has plenty of power so I didn't even bother to overclock it, just leaving it in turbo mode. I don't have a problem with it over heating either, so I think the prior Haswell heat problems might be fixed with the refresh. I have been amazed at the speed of it when decoding and encoding video.

    We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product. I am not associated with any company and all opinions are my very own.

    So fast!! I've never gone wrong choosing Intel over AMD and this just proves their quality once again. My computer is hella-fast with this and I couldn't be more pleased. Amazing.

    This is a beast. Paired with water cooling on ASRock Extreme6, it just flies and stays cool. Haven't gotten into heavy oc yet, but may not need to except for fun. Renders video amazingly fast. Replaced an i7-860 on p7p55d-e, that I though was fast :)

    Pros: Fast huge upgrade too old amd cpu/system can finally play all my games on ultra/high installed easy works great with evga z97 ftw mobo and evga 970ftw also got 1000w supernova evga PSU. cooled cpu with corsair h50 haven't seen temp higher than 50c haven't benchmarked tho.Cons: Stock fan is junk saving for emergency backup but yea dont buy it if your not gonna get watercooling

    Not much to say, it's a beast. Wish I could have got the six core, but just can't justify the price difference, especially since I do my heavy lifting in the GPU.

    Pretty pricey right now, I'd get the i5, but I had the money and wanted to treat myself. Get AMD fx 6-8 core if you want to overclock easily.

    I recommend installing an aftermarket cooler because the stock cooler is hardly adequate.
