Pretty good choice. I was going to make sure I can run virtualization (Windows 7 and Oracle VirtualBox) and I can with this one. The BIOS has some additional features that are enabled due the K designation of the CPU. I could not be happier with my choice. The fan that comes with the CPU is probably the noisiest fan inside of my case, but since it is inside of the case, I guess it is reasonable. If I need to overclock, I will buy a different fan, but certainly not for the noise it is making as it is completely tolerable. I decided to go with the Video built in to the CPU (Intel 4600) and did not buy a separate video card. Win7 Performance Index for video is 6.7, far better than what I was getting on my old machine. Processor performance Index is 7.8 (maximum possible performance index number is 7.9 which is what I'm getting on my Samsung 840 EVO SSD)

I7 Heaven, OK I haven't bought a Intel I7 for a while 4 yrs ago (last one i7 875K) but this thing fly's in my EVGA z87 Classified. I donated my old I7 to my wife and updated this to my gaming rig and it runs cool with my Noctua NH d14 temps stay right at 25c@ 4.4Ghz in my HAF X case. What a great product that is such a nice upgrade.

I bought this processor for the fact that I stream on twitch and I needed something that was going to be able to run my games good, while also streaming. Well this processor is most definitely beafy enough for those tasks. Would suggest to anybody that is in the market for multi tasking major applications. I upgraded from the AMD fx 8350 and the performance is night and day really.
