I needed a Bluetooth mouse for my new MacBook Pro because it only has USB-C ports. The Logitech M510 had been my mouse of choice for the past 5+ years, so I decided to stick with Logitech. I found it a bit difficult to tell the difference between all the Bluetooth mouse models that Logitech has (there are 11!), but I went with this one because:
- Form-wise, it looked the most like my old mouse. Some of the models look like teeny, smooth, non-ergonomic things that would be annoying to use. (I despise the Apple Magic Mouse)
- Feature-wise, this model offers cross-device copy-paste and drag functionality. Sometimes I have my personal computer next to my work computer and I'd like to have the option of using this mouse across both. If I didn't need this feature, the MX Anywhere 2 (instead of 2S) would've probably been fine.
After using it for one day: It's smaller than I'd like, but I have small hands and can get over that. It doesn't have a little door to hold the USB receiver, but since I have it paired via Bluetooth, I don't need it. Functionally, it's flawless on glossy surfaces, unlike my old mouse that was glitchy without a mouse pad. Setup was quick and easy, and it's responsive enough for my needs: design work, not gaming.
Best bluetooth mouse available for the new MacBooks that only support USB-C. Also, installing the Logitech Manager software fixes the issue of decoupling the natural scrolling direction of the trackpad from the wheel scroll direction of the mouse.
Created my first computer build with this beauty and I am quite satisfied. It's worth the buy, stronger than an i5 and has some good potential. Just make sure you have the right motherboard for it. In short...it gets the job done.
I'm coming from the Razer Firefly RGB Mousepad, and I must say, this Corsair one is a huge upgrade. The Razer one I had wore out in less than 6 months to the point where my mouse would get stuck in certain places because I wore out the mouse pad pretty heavily and the entire mous pad became smooth, and the build quality of Razer's products just aren't up to par when it comes to Corsairs products.
The LED's on this mouse pad are very bright, and not an under glow type of mouse pad either, like the Firefly was.
Would highly suggest this mouse pad, especially because it has a USB port built into it.
Just fun to have and a money sink. You are just tossing your money at a mouse pad that has RGB lighting. Fun and ... Just really fun. No practical purpose except shock value for people who see your set up. Feels nice but mostly just looks amazing. Utterly beautiful.
