I love this product! I wish Corsair made better keyboard and mouse so you can have all the same brand to use with it. I bought the K70 Rapidfire, and it had problems and haven't found a Corsair mouse that is good for gaming. Right now I am using the Logitec G513 Carbon keyboard and the Logitec G502 mouse, and they work well for gaming. Back to the mouse pad, it is very durable and has many RGB lighting effects. The only thing that I have a problem with but it is not a deal breaker is it does want to turn as I am playing on it over time.
With the MX 2S, Logitech has perfected a lot of minor shortcomings from the past (I had the MX Anywhere 1st gen before this).- BATTERY LIFE is great and no need to ever replace batteries because the battery is built in. You can charge the mouse at any point with a USB cable, and if you every do run out of battery, *you can continue using it as a wired mouse while it's charging*.- BLUETOOTH connectivity is a blessed addition. My laptop only has one available USB-A port, and if I ever want to plug in an external device I need to take out the mouse dongle. Thankfully, the mouse works just as good via BT, so I'm not even sure the dongle is necessary, but great to have both options.- SCROLLING is as good as it was with 1st gen. The ability to click-switch between tactile scrolling for precise stuff and smooth scrolling for reading is awesome.I haven't tried gaming with it, and I haven't used the Flow functionality (moving cursor between different computers). It does sound awesome but I can't think of when that would be useful.CONS (negligible but worth mentioning):- Unlike the 1st gen MX, this doesn't come with a case - disappointing.- Charging connection is micro-USB, would be nicer to get with the times and have it as USB-C.- Weighs a little less than the 1st gen MX, which isn't necessarily a con but FYI.
This mouse is the only Mouse i have used in the last 8 years i have gone through about 3 of them but its the only one that feels right and you can click the wheel for a smooth scroll that goes very very fast. The batteries wear out pretty quickly but it is probably the only type of mouse i will ever buy
Let's be real, this is a glorified RGB mouse pad but a beautiful and sleek one at that. It's spacious and the hard surface material feels like quality. It looks much better in person once it's actually plugged in. The surface is ever so slightly textured but allows for your mouse to glide all over it. The USB pass-through is a nice edition so you're not really losing a USB port on your PC. The RBG lighting effects are controlled by Corsair's iCUE software and has various different lighting profiles you can set, although if you forgo the software the mouse pad defaults to a rainbow RGB pattern that goes clockwise. You can also update the device through the software but unfortunately you cannot adjust the brightness of the LED's at all so keep that in mind. The software is decent when it works but is sometimes buggy so just be aware of that if you choose to download it (I did not factor the software into my review as the mouse pad works the moment you plug it in and ultimately it is not necessary to use). The only real downside of this mouse pad is the price. Now at a retail price of $59.99 it's simply not worth the money in my opinion. I purchased this on sale for $39.99 and even then I have a hard time justifying the price. If it was 10 dollars cheaper I think that would be a much more reasonable price and would then definitely recommend this product. However, if you live the RGB life or just want to pimp out your PC setup, you won't be disappointed in this purchase.
The surface on this mousepad isn’t really any different from your average cloth mousepad, perhaps a bit smoother and higher quality. The key feature here is the stitched edge. This protects against the eventual point of failure for so many cloth mousepads, the edge. Over time the exposed edge of the base layer will deteriorate. Additionally, the edge of the fabric upper layer will begin to separate which affects the mousepads use and looks bad. Instead that area is protected inside a stitched edge where it has shown no signs of damage over the last year and a half. This is used on the family computer. For gaming I personally prefer a large and long mousepad that holds the keyboard and mouse. In terms of the surface area it is a good size without being big enough to fit the keyboard. You may want to cut a piece of paper in the size of the mousepads you are considering and try moving your mouse around on it. This lets you easily visualize how much space you need in general use.I prefer single colour mousepads but honestly I don’t mind this design. Unfortunately it may not be suitable for an office environment due to its gaming look. Not an issue for me but it should be a consideration. If you found my review helpful please click the button below
Despite the measurements provided, the size still surprised me. Very good mouse pad, smooth and comfortable. Very pleased so far.You will never need to worry about running out of mouse pad space.
I mainly purchased this mouse to use when editing photos and videos on my MacBook. It is a little bit on the small side (portable but not as ergonomic as I would like), but it connects fast via Bluetooth to my MacBook Pro. Overall, I like it and it does come in handy.
I've tried several wireless mice, which I like to use with my laptop in bed or on the couch, with fabric often as my mousepad. Most mice tend to all start out good, but over time, they begin to have trouble. The tracking becomes less smooth, so the cursor lags or jumps across the screen, or I have to wiggle the mouse to get it to pick up movement over the cloth. I wind up using the trackpad on my laptop when I need to click a small button with reasonable accuracy, which defeats the purpose of having a mouse. Sometimes I've even tried to use a mousepad on the couch, but the cheap mice I've used in the past don't even like a mousepad if it's not 100% flat. They still won't work well. This mouse is different. It's happy to work in bed or on a couch. It doesn't need a mousepad, but if I use one, it's content even if the mousepad isn't completely flat. It moves smoothly with no lagging or skipping. I have no complaints.I've gone through so many cheap mice in the past, wasting money on mice that last a few months to a year, during which time they cause endless frustration. I'm glad I finally bought a frustration-free mouse for a little more money. I trust this one will last longer and keep me happier than the cheaper alternatives.
Good:Works on pretty much any surfaceVery portableGood battery lifeVery customizableGood software featuresBad:A bit too small for larger hands like mine. The bottom padding seems to have taken on some wear already and it's only been a few weeks.Overall great purchase for smaller laptops especially. Great pick though for slightly more can get a bigger one with more features and better ergonomics from the same company.I will update review if anything changes.
