It's nice that it's washable, but the best thing about it is that the keys make a nice little ca-chunk sound when typing. Also, because the keys are white, the letters are highly visible. While this may not matter for adults who type without looking, it's wonderful for my kids who are just learning to type. I'm very pleased with it.

I bought this for my girlfriend after she destroyed two beautiful keyboards and a laptop with spills.
She loves the feel of it (she's a software engineer so the feel really matters).
I (thankfully) haven't had to rinse it yet but I trust it will survive :-) Good invesment

...and good looking keyboard also!
Feels nice to the touch. It's light, rugged and it looks really good. I take it with me and use it with my laptop. Didn't take me anytime to adjust.
Cheap, functional. No complaints.

First, I have not washed this thing yet because I've only had it for a month or two. But, I can comment on the quality and use of this thing. I love the feeling of the keys. The way they push down and just the overall feel. It took a little getting used to but I absolutely love it now. I bought this as a replacement for a backlit keyboard. I figured the white/black contrast would work very well for just general visibility of the keys. All the keys are very easy to see, no matter what the lighting situation is. My only complaint is that the size of the keyboard is a wee bit small which makes the keys a little bit closer together than I would like (my hands are about normal/average size I would say). I have gotten used to it now though. In the beginning, I would accidentally bump keys I that I wasn't trying to hit. Like I said, I've gotten used to this now and it pretty much never happens anymore. I absolutely love this keyboard now. And, at such a decent price and the fact that you can wash it, you can't go wrong with this.

i like the keyboard. nice spacing. the keys, especially the space bar, are responsive. nice tactile feel to the keys. they don't really feel like rubber. the keyboard's feet are firm and stuck in place. i do like the space between the up arrow key and the end key. solid design. i would def recommend.

This keyboard is very easy to clean and comes with a small brush. Never again will you have to deal with the crud beneath the keys. The keys themselves feels great too.

These keyboards are cost effective and resilient. They are not for everyone, but if your work around food and drink are always at your computer, buy one--or two, as I did...

I like this keyboard as it is easier for the old hunt and peck method to be employed in low light situations. My eyes have grown older too. The bonus is it's unique look.

THIS KEYBOARD IS VERY NICE. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE WHITE BUTTONS AS THEY ARE EASIER TO SEE. THEY ARE QUIET AND SMOOTH. I REALLY RECOMMEND IT. I HAVE NOT NEEDED TO WASH IT, BUT I ASSUME IT WILL FUNCTION AS ADVERTISED.

It's pretty obvious, that you trade typing comfort for the ability to clean the keyboard. The K310 still provides a reasonable typing experience, but there are definitely notable trade-offs you have to accept.

I got this keyboard for my home office and found it to be too plasticky. The keyboard action was also a little stiffer than traditional chiclet keyboards.
Overall the unit felt very sturdy and I imagine it would perfect for children or a kitchen.

I've been using this for a good 6 months now and I eat and drink at my desk regularly. Finally the keyboard has gotten so much food and junk and stuff stuck to it I couldn't bear it anymore and threw it into the sink and used a sponge with light watered amount of dish washer soap and just gently wiped it down over the keyboard. The icky stuff all came off with the soapy water and I just rinsed it a few times with the running water. It now looks brand new. In fact i'm typing with it right now as there is still water between the keys since I can't dry it off completely with a towel. This thing is a beast! One of the best inventions of man next to the chopsticks and wok.

It's a very nice looking keyboard. I didn't think I'd like the white keys, but I really do. I like how the keys look like they're floating. Takes a little getting used to - key placement/spacing, etc - but that's true whenever you change a keyboard. I am a very hard typist so I like a keyboard that can stand up to that and I like a keyboard that isn't silent. I don't need a big loud THWACK! every time I hit a key, but this keyboard has a very gentle, satisfying 'clack' with each keystroke. I am a medical transcriptionist and type approx. 10 hours a day - so my keyboard HAS to be right. I've always been happy with Logitech products and I am very happy with this keyboard, as well.

The shift key on my Dell keyboard kept sticking, so it was time for a new keyboard. I happened to receive a coupon to purchase this one at a local store at a discount. (I usually purchase all such items from Amazon, which I love). I can be a little picky about keyboards, so I wasn't 100% sure that I would like this one. . but. . . I LOVE it! I can ever type a lot faster on this one than I could on my Dell! It's very comfortable . The fact that you can clean it with water is GREAT! There's even a little brush attached underneath. I also like the shortcut keys which my old keyboard didn't have. You might be able to find a keyboard for a little less than this. . but. . . for the cost difference. . and to be able to wash it. . . it's well worth it.

Obviously an attractive keyboard, but also one that is supported by linux, allowing full keyboard functionality. The flat top design of the keys allows for easy cleaning with a rag; one wipe cleans off all the keytops. Additionally, because the keys are designed such that the top overlaps the the raised base of each key, hair and other junk can't get trapped under the keys no matter what. This was a surprise, and actually a better feature than the washability. The blue bottom was a nice touch (along with the clip-in cleaning brush located there), as was the usb connector cover. The keys are extremely easy to read--better than the lighted keyboard it replaced--and it's slim profile and understated simplicity is pleasant. The keys have a good feel to them, as well, despite the lightweight design.
The only cons are that a cord strain relief may have been a good idea, and there is no mouse that matches the keyboard, ie washable. I had to settle for a belkin washable mouse, and I hope Logitech does something to remedy this, because my mouse sucks by comparison.

When I first saw this I thought wow- why aren't more keyboards washable? given the amount of grime and filth that builds up on the average keyboard over time. Not to mention coffee spills- I spend a lot of time in front of the computer for work- it's bound to happen! I've washed the keyboard a couple times now without incident. The built in brush is nice for sweeping away crumbs.
I was a bit skeptical at first, having read the other reviews stating the keys had a 'mushy' feel when pressed. While I can agree with that statement somewhat, I find the feel of the key presses to be satisfactory. I certainly don't feel like I'm making any more errors as a result of the feel of the keys.
So why not 5 stars? Well, the build is a bit flimsy. I realize this is made of plastic just like 99% of keyboards are, but it tends to 'sag' a bit in the middle when I'm typing. They could have designed it to be just a little more rigid. The other issue is where the USB cord comes out of the back of the computer. There is no strain relief, so it's possible if the cord was ever yanked (like if the keyboard fell off the desk) it might damage the thin cord.
Bottom line: This is a basic wired keyboard that functions well, and you can wash it entirely after you've spilled coffee on it (or just when you want to clean your nasty finger grime off). It also looks pretty good on the desk; I like the contrast of the dark characters on the white keys. Buy it- you'll like it.

After purchasing one of these as a replacement for another keyboard I have since ordered several more to replace all the keyboards in the house. Have washed them a couple times and they work perfectly after just as advertised. Also picked up a few for the office at work and everyone loves them and even a couple people went out and got them for their personal computers. Have used them with Linux and Windows computers and work perfectly on both.
