Upgraded from an i5-4670k to this processor. My wife and I do quite a bit of photo and video editing on the side and this CPU has not missed a beat. I have it overclocked using a Corsair H105 AIO cooler and it's 100% stable at 4.7GHz. It would run at 4.8GHz but I wasn't comfortable with the voltage I had to pump into it, so I backed it down slightly. I would definitely recommend this processor.
Intel has always knocked it out of the ballpark with their processors. Previous to this I had an i3 4170. Man, what an upgrade. Being a top of the line consumer processor, this thing will knock out any task you throw at it with ease. It's great for general use, rendering, gaming, and any other CPU intensive tasks. It does get a bit toasty though, so I would recommend picking up another cooler.
Previously a AMD user as well as a upcoming designer in interactive media, I needed to upgrade to something a lot more power. This was perfect for what I needed, possibly a bit overkill but that just means that I will be sticking with this for years. Its handling all my applications as well as games such as Planetside 2 perfectly which is a very cpu heavy game.
This Thing is a beast!! Runs amazing out of the box. Benchmarks put it neck and neck with the i7-6700k (within 0.8%). absolutely no load times on my desktop apps. Would absolutely recommend.
Bought it two years ago, still holds up and is worth the price. Plays pretty much everything at maximum settings with my strong graphics card (which is a must to get your bang for the buck, with this kind of a processor)
I'm loving this CPU. The computer I'm using this in is mostly for gaming and multimedia / home theater. My computer is nice and fast. I have no complaints about this CPU. I have been using it for about 9 months in my PC with a GTX 970 windforce GPU and crucial DDR3 memory.
It's a 4790K, it's a beast of a processor and will probably stay one of the best for a few more years; at least as far as gaming is concerned. Cons, it's pretty freak'n expensive but hey, all good things are.
I have been very pleased with this keyboard. Not only is the keyboard washable, but the keyboard tends to stay clean on its own. Unlike most keyboards, where things can easily fall between the keys and get stuck inside of the keyboard, these keys are wide at the top, covering a narrow base and preventing junk from getting inside the keyboard. This means that not only is the keyboard washable, but because of a high-quality design you won't have to do that much washing.I like that the keyboard is low-profile, it's easy to slide under things and doesn't take up much space.Overall the performance of the keyboard is about what you would expect. It has fairly good typing quality, but if you're like me and like tactile feedback for your typing, you're going to think that the keyboard is a bit mushy. The lightness of the keyboard also means that it might have a tendency to shift underneath your fingers if you're a strong typer like me.
