I use this keyboard with my laptop at home (while it's stacked on top of some thick books) for an ergonomic set-up, and it's been serving me well so far.
The good: quiet, good size, low profile, nice quality, comes with a small brush (attached to the bottom) to get ride of dust or other residue under or between the keys. The keys are elevated to allow for easier cleaning, which is nice--no need to tediously pull them off. Keys don't give a lot of feedback and come down very softly compared to some other keyboards.
The bad: would be better it had feet that were adjustable to allow for more a ergonomic typing position.
Washable feature not yet tested, will update review once I do--please note that there are very specific washing instructions included with the keyboard, so read them first before you start dunking it in the sink!.
This is a great keyboard. The keys are sized and spaced well and the action of each key is satisfyingly clicky. The function keys are a nice touch. This is the best keyboard I've ever used. I haven't had the need to wash it yet, but that's just icing on an already delicious cake.
This type of keyboard is what should be adopted across corporate America! I was able to get one while they were priced at $14.99. This is a great deal. How many of us work in corporate offices or centers were we are handed down old keyboards, or we have to share equipment with others?
We get to our new desk and the first thing we see is how gross the keyboard is!!! There is something growing on the S key and you are not too sure what it could be! Will you get pregnant if you touch it???
Some of us opt to spray Lysol over the perpetrator. Some of us grab a Clorox wipe and frenetically rub the keys, the edges, DIE BACTERIA. DIE. A minority of us.... go to greater lengths... some of us... put the keyboard apart, pulling out every key to give each one an individualized deep cleaning. But this approach has a counter effect in our soul, we get to see what has been sleeping under those keys for who knows how long! We see: dried skin, hairs (straight and kinky ones), unidentified mucous, crumbles, dried good small pieces, IS THAT BLOOD??, dandruff, an earring, and many other yucky wonders.
We sure need to be exposed to the wild to develop a strong immune system, however, there is a psychological positive effect that good hygiene and cleanliness brings to the employee: sense of relief, comfort, satisfaction and efficiency. Would you rather stay at a dirty hotel room for 1 week with a smelly mattress or spend 3 months in a pristine room that seems to have been cleaned by a surgical team?? Most will opt for the last option.
Here enters the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 for Windows PCs. It is a dirty hotel room that you can actually wash and thoroughly clean - transforming it into that pristine utopia of good smells and clean.
I want every employer in America that hands those equipment to employees to consider investing on something like this. For the People. For the The Children.
What to get for the wife who loves her coffee and doesn't want to tip toe around the keyboard to keep it clean. The price is right. It's easy to type on. It looks good. It's compact. Comes with a cleaning brush. Can be fully immersed in water to clean. Finally something that will keep on looking new months and years later.
Even if you're not a coffee and soda spilling spouse, dust, hair, and all kinds of crud gets in a keyboard and can't be cleaned....until now.
This is one solid keyboard. I've had a history of killing keyboards with spilled coffee. And every few months I would have to clean out the crumbs from my old keyboard (where do they come from, LOL?). But this keyboard solves those issues. Its washable, and has no cracks or crevices for crumbs to collect in. Plus it is a comfortable keyboard. The feel is a bit squishy (which I prefer over the old clicky kind of feel). And the software let's you make several configuration changes (like turning off the CAPs Lock). Highly recommended.
I have multiple systems in my home, and make it a practice to always have a reliable plug in keyboard around for days when wireless just doesn't work, devices aren't charged, etc. I got this one and liked it so much, I bought another to keep as a backup. Comfortable typing, slim keyboard, looks like of cool, and for the price, even if I *did* manage to destroy it...so what?:) I haven't washed it yet, so I can't comment on that, but it's hard to go wrong with this one.
Using this in my sterile lab for months now to replace those AWFUL flexible rubber keyboards . Easy to clean and install, and much more ergonomic than other washable options. Will try out for a few more months and adjust to 5-star if no other problems exist.
Best ever! I am not really very computer savvy and I hate getting things that I can not figure out how to install. This was made for people like me! Just plug it in and you are ready to go. No software to worry about. And it is a great keyboard. I love it!
This is the first keyboard in a long time that I really love. It's just nice looking and has a great feel -- if you like the chiclet style keys.
Keyboards are supposed to be one of the filthiest places in your home -- so washable seems like a great idea!
PROS:
- Good key feel and spacing.
- Nice appearance.
- Washable.
- White keys with dark letters on them are very easy to see (if you need to look).
CONS:
- Not as quiet when typing as I would like.
Unfortunately, I haven't washed it yet.
Great Keyboard, we bought it because of our young daughter messed up the other keyboard with a juice spill. But beside you can rinse this keyboard off, it also types well and I really like the feel of it and looks good to.
I'm impressed, but not surprised with the quality of this keyboard. On and off over the last 10 years I've been using mechanical and laptop keyboards alike through high school, and later college, so keep that in mind when reading my review.
Pros: This keyboard is boss, I'm not even beginning to talk about feel, I'm talking about appearance. The white on black looks good, although my keyboard is more of a really dark grey, both the board and lettering, but no complaint here, I don't care. The main selling point is obviously the wash-ability, pair that with apparently decent lifetime and this thing could essentially last forever as long as you don't let it get gross like an old person's watch (I work on watches part time). So what we have is a baller looking keyboard and wash-ability to boot, which makes it a pretty sweet deal. Now on to the feel. Here's where it gets tricky because I'm typing with it now. The keyboard feels good, the keys are spaced pretty well and the press is nice and... well there's no real way to describe it. It's kind of a smooth mechanical feel, it's like playing with a quieter version of those toy keyboards that you can sometimes find at yard sales, but that's not meant in a bad way, for some reason I like it, and it doesn't make annoying clickity clacky sounds, it makes phone-key amount of noises... back when people had phones with buttons... I give up you can't describe it, but it's a nice feel I reassure you, not mushy at all they keys are hard, but smooth and put up just enough resistance so you don't accidentally press keys.
Cons: Ignore the last sentence of the Pros because I keep pressing the wrong keys. Specifically the f12 and caps lock when trying to use backspace and shift, respectively. I love the keyboard, but I make mistakes, and since I've been using straight laptop keyboards for the last 7 months I make a bunch of mistakes, I keep opening up chrome's damn html editor thing, stupid f12. Now, I'm sure this gets better the more you use it, so lets move on from this topic that's not so much a con as me only using the keyboard for 40 minutes so far and whining about something I'm not used to yet.
Big con, don't fall for quill.com's $20 off crap, I did and checked my bank and they charged me double so I yelled at them until they fixed it. And I would have left that out of the review since their Customer Support was helpful, but their shipping was garbage and I wish I could show you the packaging because you'd laugh so hard cool-aid would come out of your nose and you'd drop your delicious pop-tart on your non-water-resistant keyboard because you spent all your time reading my long review rather than just buying the keyboard. Long story short the box that you typically buy the keyboard in, you know, it shows the keyboard and has all the stats and stuff, well that s*** arrived via UPS with a piece of cardboard taped to the outside containing the tracking info... really guys? You ship the damn box showing exactly what's inside for any troll or thief to mess with and you just tape a piece of a box to the outside thinking it's good enough . Well I'd complain to UPS or quill but honestly the keyboard works and as long as the credit for the double-charge shows up in my bank account I couldn't care if they'd mailed me the keyboard half-stuffed into a roast turkey.
So that's my review. It's worth the $22 I ended up spending on it, I'll probably clean it once a decade or something just to look like I'm not a slob. The typing seems better now that I've written a novel as a review, I mean I'm seriously a pro at typing now because this review is so long. But seriously it feels great and tricks you into thinking you're typing faster when your WPM drops by 3, not a complaint, I'm actually going to say that's a pro, I feel like Sonic, or the flash typing, but I'd definitely get this if I were you. It looks pro, it feels nice, it it weren't for my enormous tree-hands I wouldn't have trouble over stretching the backspace key and hitting f11 and f12 as much as I do, but I'm sure you gu
A well thought out, solid keyboard. Bought this for work because my regular keyboard was getting fuzzy and nasty (I eat lunches and stuff at my desk) and this seemed like a good idea. I thought maybe it would be gimmicky, like it would be washable but everything else would suck. Instead, it is quiet, easy on the eyes, and comes with a little brush that clips underneath it. So far it is pleasant to use. I tested some of the quick-function keys like calculator, mute, volume up and down, etc and all work as expected. I ran it under the faucet at home the same night I got it just for kicks, and it works just fine.
The only issue I have noticed so far has been covered by other reviewers: the space between the A and Caps Lock is smaller than most keyboards I am used to, so I have inadvertently turned on all Caps a couple times today.
This is most comfortable and satisfying keyboard I've typed on in 35 years of computer use. I have already purchased two, one for my home and one for a customer's office. I expect I may own several more before I'm done!
Well it is very good but is not exactly what I was looking for. Mind you there is nothing wring with the keyboard. I have yet not figured out how to make it work while connecting it to the PS2 port on my CablesToGo - TruLink 4 port VGA KVM + USB Hub. Just wish it supoported the bPS2 porotocol / signal levels / voltages or whatever and worked with any one of the several Green USB to PS2 adapters I have lying around that came with the mice.
It works fine when connected to the hub part. BTW it cost me only half as much as the lowest price in India. On a single PC it would be just perfect.
This Logitech keyboard is really great, I love the fact that if it gets dirty I can wash it under running water. I haven't had it that long and haven't tested it out yet, but I have had trouble with my past keyboards staying clean, (my own fault) and spraying compressed air just doesn't cut it for me. I love the fact that this keyboard can be cleaned with water. It also functions very well as a keyboard. I really like the white keys against the black of the keyboard. They are easier to see and I seem to type a bit faster. It seems very sturdy and is completely functional as a terrific keyboard. Would definitely buy it again. Oh, and when I got it the price was also very good.
Working great so far. The feedback on each key is much better than my previous keyboards (the ones included with a computer purchase). There is a good gap between each key to let water flow and to fit the brush in, and the keys are not sunk below the keyboard, but hover above it so that no particles can stuck between the keys and the keyboard
I bought this for when I use my Windows laptop as a desktop with auxiliary monitor and keyboard. Being a Mac user, I like this layout and key shape and spacing. Setup involved plugging it into a USB socket. It's quiet and I like the feel of the keystrokes. It appears to be well built. Recommended for those who prefer the Mac layout.
