This keyboard so far has worked fine. I have only owned it a few months. I haven't tested it out yet by spillling anything, or by washing it. Overall feel is nice, however it does flex a bit, which is a bit concerning.
I like my keyboards to feel like keyboards. I don't like laptop keyboards, I've used those in the past and just cant enjoy them. I also prefer wired over wireless for the ease of not changing batteries and lack of input lag.
This keyboard fit the bill. I was at first just attracted to the look of this keyboard. I wasn't looking for a washable keyboard, but when I saw that and the price I was hooked.
Pros:
- Inexpensive.
- Keys feel great (This keyboard is NOT made out of rubber (which was my only fear in looking at it...so Don't be alarmed!)
- color contrast makes it easy to spot keys and the home keys are easy to identify.
- I use this keyboard for work and gaming and I have not had a single issue with input lag or ghosting.
- Comes with a little brush to clean out between keys which is excellent.
- No fear of ruining the keyboard by spilling water or anything else.
- Full number pad (a must)
- Added functionality (like direct access to calculator - which I use constantly).
Cons:
- Nothing substantial.
Purchased this keyboard for restaurant use at prep line, so that it may be washed daily to avoid wasted plastic wrap or keyboard covers. The key board works great and can be washed as advertised without be affected. I would highly recommend this product.
Love this keyboard! After spilling a liquid on my old keyboard and burning it out, I looked for something like this. Haven't spilled anthing on it yet, but when I do, I will know that I can just wash it out. A little more pricey than conventional keyboards, but worth the price.
I've only had it for a few weeks and it's super easy to keep clean. Living in a dorm I eat at my desk and get a lot of dust.
Even comes with a tiny brush that sticks to the bottom. I like the blue color on the bottom and the keys are cute.
Last night I knocked a pop all over my desk and everything was sticky. I washed the keyboard and still had some sticky keys, so after I took it back and washed the specific sticky keys while pressing on them they unstuck right away.
Nice keyboard. Good for a messy person like me!
I'm going to buy another one of these for my office. This keyboard is very quiet (not silent, but close), it's easy to type on, compact, and CLEANABLE.
The way I look at it is this: Most people get new keyboards as they age because they just begin to look dingy after a while - it's planned obsolescence folks. Viewable parts are often designed to look bad after a while (ever wonder why the interior of a car, even after cleaning still looks not-quite-the-same-as-new?).
This keyboard has a great design, easy to use, and, supposedly, completely washable. I think it will live up to something better than before, and if it does, it's about time, and I will continue to buy similar products from Logitech.
Use it everyday and going to replace my other keyboards with this one. Think about a version with laminating keys - if possible. But I do really like this keyboard.
I've only had it for a few days and haven't dumped a glass of wine on it yet but so far I love it. Looks real easy to clean. I don't get where people think the keys are too hard to press, I think the action is real nice compared to my el-cheapo keyboards. So far so good!
It's easy for a company to muck something like this up. Logitech scored. Keyboards are filthy. Keyboards are difficult to properly clean. Toilets get cleaned more often than keyboards. We've heard all of this before. This keyboard is awesome. Even if this product was not washable, it would be awesome. The design is simple and modern. The keys seem to hover over the board - very cool. The tactile response is on-point.
Add-in the fact that you can maintain hygiene on something you are contacting every day..buy it. This is that solid value you are always hoping to find that makes you feel all warm inside.
the keyboard has a great feel. the keys are nice and crisp when pressed, tilt is just about right, and you can spill coffee on it all day long and not hurt it. I wish that I would have shopped around a little more as I saw it on sale for less right after I bought it. Im not complaining though, as I still got a great deal
I have been using this keyboard for some time now and I didn't wash it yet (shame on me). But just the fact that I know that I can wash it anytime gives me peace of mind.
The feeling is really great (close to mechanical), the design is simple and good looking, this keyboard is a masterpiece except for one little detail.
* The little detail *
The F12 button which is also the SHUTDOWN/SLEEP when pressed along with FN is just to the right of F11 (you guessed it) which is VOLUME UP.
I was playing League of Legends and I wanted to raise the volume, I pressed FN + F12 instead of FN + F11... I was in the middle of a game when my computer went to sleep, thanks Logitech !
I will update my review after washing it.
Feels a little weird to type on at first because the keys are spaced apart and it's a little pricey, but the cleanliness is definitely worth it. It also looks prettier than normal keyboards. Other than that, it works as well as any other keyboard.
Just got it today but i love it. I thought I was buying a flexible silicone keyboard because that's what I searched for when it came up but I'm not disappointed. I use it with my laptop and it works great. The keys are not all crammed together so you don't hit 2 at once and it's very visible- easy to see.
Logitech has come a long way in the quality department over the years.
I had a Logitech Wave which is a pretty nice keyboard, but after years of spills and use it was dirty to the point of not being usable. After looking at methods of cleaning keyboards, like taking them completely apart and putting them in the dishwasher, I figured it'd be easier to to just buy a new one. Then I bumped into this one and decided to get it.
I haven't had a need to clean it yet so I can't comment on that, but it seems pretty standard. However as a keyboard it actually works better than I expected. For my preference, it actually feels better to type on than the Wave keyboard did. The keys are very responsive and have a soft feel to them.
The Wave keyboard has a whole bunch of extra buttons for playing media and stuff like that, but I quite literally never used them once. Not having all of these extra buttons and just sticking to a standard keyboard is actually a plus for me in this instance. The keyboard takes up about half the space on my desk which is nice if you ever have papers or books around when you're typing. If you think you will need those extra media buttons, they are still available, they are just combined with function keys. Since I don't use them anyway it doesn't matter to me, but it does involve an extra key press to access those functions.
The only other thing I would have really liked is illuminated keys. However the white keys on black background makes the keys easy to see even with low light, so it's still an improvement over an all black keyboard.
When I have a need to clean this, I might report back with my experience there but judging by the other reviews, it should be pretty straightforward.
I'd been looking for a decent simple keyboard for a while. Nothing fancy. Nothing overly expensive. I'm very pleased with this one.
Initially the spacebar didn't work, and I thought maybe I'd ended up with a bad keyboard.
I popped the spacebar off and put it back on correctly (the metal wire wasn't set right). Fixed.
I like the feel of the keys, and the quietness of them. So many keyboards I've used that are noisy.
I have liked this keyboard well enough for home use, that I now will be buying another one to use at my work to replace the annoyingly loud dell.
My last keyboard started flaking out with the 1 key (used it a lot through years of gaming). I can't verify this keyboards longevity, but if anything is to happen to it in the future, I will update this review. (Likewise I will update once it needs a wash and I've confirmed all is good afterward.)
So I picked this up with a Razor Naga because of it's low 30$ price at Walmart. The washable feature was a must being that I have pets and tend to eat at the computer. I do Graphic Design work so I spend tons of time at the keyboard.
The design of the keyboard is very modern. It's slick, thin with white raised keys of the flat board. Coming from other more expensive keyboards the separated keys are an extremely well welcomed feature compared to other keyboards that tend to space everything close together and rely on different heights
to help separate the keys. All the keys are the same height on this keyboard but the space helps keep them apart ( and prevents me from hitting multiple keys at the same time by mistake ).
The White keys are an eyesore at first to look directly at if your coming from a all black keyboard but the contrast is GREAT at night time because they stand out in the dark against the light of the computer monitor! So if you know your key locations again the spacing between them makes them even more visible.
My only cons would be that the keyboard doesn't have an marco/media buttons on the sides for quick access instead just has FN features. But overall I love this keyboard. It's washable, comes with a little dusting brush to clean between washes and looks and feels great. I will be buying a second one to store away whenever logitech decides to discontinue this product.
