My husband needed a new mouse and preferably one that he could use on all different surfaces. We picked this one and he likes it a lot. It does work on the rough surface of our sofa as well as on the smooth surface of a table. One of the things we both liked is that you can just press down on the wheel to go from smooth-rolling to one line at a time. This mouse is a little small but we don't have a problem with that. If you have a larger hand or want something that feels bigger, you might want to pick something else.
I have the hard surface version and absolutely love it. It pairs great with my Corsair K55 RGB keyboard and Corsair Glaive RGB mouse. I've always used cloth mouse pads and after 3 to 6 months they start showing their age. Also with cloth mouse pads I noticed that it would feel like the mouse starts dragging or sticking to the cloth. Not sure why as I never eat or drink at my desk to spill anything on them. This MM800 hard version feels like it would outlast the LED's on it. The non-slip bottom is also another great feature because it sticks like glue to my desk. Not sure what they use but all the non-slip cloth mouse pads in the past start sliding across my desk as I'm gaming or surfing the web. It had been so bad once I had to use double sided carpet tape to keep it in place. There is one gripe I have about it but it's not that big of a deal. When I reboot or start my PC the mouse pad LED's goes static red. It requires me to stop the iCUE software then restart it, then the mouse pad LED's works as they should. It's something in the iCUE software causing the static red LED's because I can uninstall it and the the LED's go into a Rainbow Wave pattern. Once I reinstall iCUE the mouse pad goes static red. Shut down and restart iCUE and the mouse pad works. Maybe they'll figure it out one day, but until then I'm still happy with my purchase.
Absolutely the best travel mouse I’ve ever owned. The tracking is flawless, it feels good in the hand, and the ability to switch between Bluetooth channels to use different devices is genius. Worth every penny.
I've been hearing for a while that I needed to get an extended mouse pad and now I see why. The pattern on this thing does a great job of hiding dust. It lays flat and gives me a larger surface for my mouse. Definitely can't go wrong with this one.I do wish Corsair had an RGB version for used with iCue, but this is a steal for the price.
I take this thing everywhere. It really runs on any surface. Now I don’t have to be the nerd in a meeting with a mouse pad. It’s hard to tell current battery life but it lasts about 45 days. I set a reminder in my calendar to charge it. The dongle is very low profile and has decent range so I can dock my computer anywhere on my desk and still use the mouse. The buttons are high quality and the whole thing feels solid despite being light weight.I haven’t used the different device clicker option- I have no idea how I would even set that up.
